Table of contents

You've just subscribed to Welcome to the Jungle and would like to know more about the different parts of your Candidate Space? Let's take a tour together 🏠.

🐾 First steps in your Candidate Space

    The dashboard

When you log on to your dashboard, you'll see at a glance a summary of the various information in your Candidate Space:

    • Your current number of applications
    • Your saved jobs and articles
    • Your latest saved searches
    • Your job suggestions
    • The link to your profile

You can also quickly browse our media specializing in HR and work-related topics, as well as the profiles of the companies and our job board!

    The Profile tab

Now let's get down to business! One of the first essential steps after creating your account is to complete your profile.

The "Profile" tab is divided into several sections:

    • Your details: your first name, last name, e-mail address... These details will be pre-filled when you apply for a job on our site.
    • Target job: detail the tasks you're looking for in your future job, as well as the type of contract, location, whether you'll be remotely working or not...
    • Work experience: here you can talk about your previous professional experience, the roles you've held and the tasks and missions you've accomplished over the course of your career.
    • Skills & expertise: here you can detail your various technical skills, as well as your know-how.
    • Education and qualifications: enter information about your various degrees and the places where you have completed your education and certification.
    • Other assets: enter your CV and links to your social network profiles, your website... This information will also be pre-filled on the application form, saving you time!

💡 To speed up the completion of your profile, you can directly upload your CV so that the information is automatically added from there!

The information can then be manually modified if any adjustments or clarifications are required.

Visibility of your Welcome to the Jungle profile

When you create an account on Welcome to the Jungle, your profile and information are invisible by default 🫥 ! The only information (including CV and cover letter) that will be shared is what you provide on the application forms, and these will only be shared with the companies you've applied to.

💡 We've launched a new feature enabling recruiters to view your profile from our CV library and contact you directly! To authorize them to do so, you need to select the ‘Actively job hunting’ or ‘Open to opportunities’ box:

Here are the different statuses you can choose :
🔴 Not available : I don’t want to be contacted by recruiters.
🔵 Open to opportunities : I'm not actively looking for a job, but I am open to receive relevant opportunities from recruiters
🟢 Actively job hunting : I am actively looking for a job and I’d like to receive new opportunities from recruiters.

You can change your status at any time! Simply choose the new status you want from the drop-down menu.

🚫👀 : as mentioned, your employer cannot access your information or status. To ensure this, make sure to complete the 'Experience' section of your profile by including your current position.

⚡️ Features dedicated to your job search

    The "Applications" tab

Organizing and tracking your applications is key to a successful search! That's why the "Applications" page is such a valuable ally:

On this page, you can find :

    • The "Job Comparator is specially designed to optimize your job search! At a glance, this table lets you analyze up to 3 saved jobs and apply to the one that suits you best. Curious? We've explained how it works right here!
    • The "Application tracking" works like a kanban board, where you'll find the status of your jobs, your saved jobs and be able to group your applications and track them independently. To find out more about how this board works, please read the article right here!

⚠️ Some of the companies featured on Welcome to the Jungle redirect their candidates to their own dedicated recruitment site; when you see a redirect icon next to the "apply" button, this means that the company is using an external recruitment platform:

In such cases, you won't be able to track these applications from the applications' dashboard, but you will be able to add them manually to your tracking table!

    The "Opportunities" tab

Through your profile, you can receive opportunities from recruiters. Here, you will find out how the 'Opportunities' tab works and how to manage it effectively.

To be visible to recruiters and to receive opportunities, it is essential to fill in at least one past experience or to add a resume to your profile. You can then make your profile visible by choosing the status that best corresponds to your situation: ‘Actively job hunting' or 'Open to job opportunities'.

Please note that if you select the status ‘Not available’, no recruiter will have access to your profile, so you will not receive any new opportunities.

You can change your status at any time! Simply choose the new status you want from the drop-down menu.

🚫👀: as already stated, your employer cannot access your information or your status. To ensure this, make sure you complete the ‘Work experience’ section of your profile by mentioning your current position.

Then, to access the opportunities sent by recruiters, go to the ‘Opportunities’ tab at the top right of your screen, next to your ‘My space’ icon:

Once you are in ‘Opportunities’, you will see the different opportunities received from recruiters and their status.

When you click on a new opportunity, you can view the message sent by the recruiter, as well as information about the job and the company. You can also access the job description and the company page by clicking on ‘Explore the job’ or ‘Explore the company’.

After examining these details, you can choose whether or not to follow up the opportunity received by clicking on ‘I'm interested’ or ‘No, thank you’.

    - If you select ‘I'm interested’: the recruiter is informed and receives your contact details (email address and telephone number) so that they can contact you directly to continue the recruitment process. You will then be able to communicate via your personal email inbox. This offer will be filed under ‘Opportunities’ > ‘Accepted’.
    - If you select ‘No, thank you’: the recruiter is notified of your refusal and the process stops there. You can then send the recruiter the reason for your refusal and provide feedback. The proposal will be filed under ‘Opportunities’ > ‘Declined’.

⚠️ If you want your accepted opportunities to appear in your application tracking, you will need to add them manually.

The "Alerts" and "Saved items" tabs

Still haven't found the job of your dreams? Don't worry, you can set up job alerts on our Find a job page!

Once you've saved your job alerts, you can find them directly in the "Alerts" page; it's here that you can deactivate or delete those you no longer need!

At the same time, the "Saved Articles" tab lets you retrieve articles and content you've saved from our Media page.

Now you know every corner of your Candidate Space 👀 ! We hope you enjoy it as much as we do, and that you find the job of your dreams on our platform.
